No, Fractured femur. The orthopod was using the broach down her femur during THR and there was a longitudinal split in her femur. SOOOO she's in considerably increased pain over what I would expect, due to slight motion at fracture. She's Toe touch WB only for 6 to 8 weeks. Then she's allowed to start rehab
Thank you for your Prayers however. Take care, Mark
Barbara had a total hip replacement in April 2022. No fractured femur, thankfully. Nevertheless, it's still been a slow and trying recovery as the rest of her body adjusts to the change in bio-mechanics. She is doing better now than before the surgery and she doesn't regret having it done. What a medical adventure to have during the retirement years! We hope and pray for God's choicest blessings to be upon both of you.
Even though I'm still up for some adventures, having a hip replaced isn't on my bucket list. When I've kicked the bucket maybe then. Sorry to hear Barbara is still adjusting but glad she's better than before. Thanks again for your support - I wish you ALL well also
Thank you for your prayers and well wishes. She had a total hip replacement on Feb 14th and one of the rare complications is a fractured femur - which she got. Rehab and pain levels are considerably more protracted. I will pass on your sentiments. Take care, Mark
