Job 8:21 "He will yet fill your mouth with laughter, and your lips with shouting."
Luke 6:21 “Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you shall be satisfied.Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh."
Ecclesiastes 3:4 "A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance..."
The grief won't end, but laughter helps us endure. Right, Mark? How many times have my brother and I sat together telling hilarious stories about mom and laughed until we cried? Catharsis!
Thanks Steve. For the first time in my adult life, I'm trying to focus on - "Whatever is True, Honorable, Just, Pure, Lovely, Gracious, where there be any excellence, where there be anything worthy of Praise - think upon these things" - just like my bride did. Wannabe kings are none of the above.
So glad you provided the context for the broken glass lamp story!
Amen! I laughed glass backward over this one!
