What I was aiming toward with this metaphor was that - some people are very comfortable with their world being homogeneous and nice and neat. Others really appreciate diversity, and a splash of colors literally or figuratively. They acknowledge that people are imperfect and have many differences and they're OK with that. The colored eggs made me think of the way the world actually is as opposed to the way some folk would like to see it
I get it that not everyone has this choice, or the extra $2 a dozen if they do. But for folks like me who have both, it’s simply the decision to be mindful.
